What Is an Ultrasound (Sonar)?

An ultrasound (or sonar) uses sound waves to create images of the inside of your body. It’s completely safe, painless, and radiation-free, making it ideal for both adults and expectant mothers.

Ultrasounds help doctors diagnose medical conditions early, monitor pregnancies, and guide treatments effectively.

Types of Ultrasounds We Offer

Pregnancy Ultrasounds

  • Early Pregnancy Scan (6–12 weeks): Confirms pregnancy, checks heartbeat, and estimates due date.

  • Anatomy & Growth Scan (18–22 weeks): Monitors baby’s development and screens for abnormalities.

  • Late Pregnancy Scan (32+ weeks): Tracks growth, position, and fluid levels.

General & Diagnostic Sonars

  • Abdominal Ultrasound: Detects gallstones, liver or kidney issues.

  • Pelvic Ultrasound: Examines uterus, ovaries, or bladder.

  • Thyroid & Neck Ultrasound: Evaluates swelling or nodules.

  • Soft Tissue & Musculoskeletal Scans: For injuries or lumps.

  • Prostate & Testicular Ultrasound: For men’s health concerns.

If you’re unsure which scan you need, our team will guide you during consultation.

Our Ultrasound Process

1. Booking & Preparation

Schedule your appointment via WhatsApp or call. Some scans may require fasting or a full bladder – we’ll give you clear instructions beforehand.

2. The Scan

You’ll lie comfortably while a clinician applies a small amount of gel and glides a probe over the area. The entire scan usually takes 10–20 minutes.

3. Results & Explanation

Images are reviewed by our doctor or sonographer, and you’ll receive your results promptly – with clear explanations and next-step recommendations.
